As of January 1, 2026, IAF and ILAC merged to become a single umbrella organization called the 'Global Accreditation Cooperation Incorporated (GAC)'. This is one of the biggest structural changes the accreditation world has experienced since its establishment — now management system certification, product certification, and laboratory accreditation are united under a single international umbrella. The international recognition of the accreditation bodies we work with is now evaluated through this new GAC structure.
